Status: Development Application

In a deliberate attempt to stray from the typically safe and sweeping architectural style that dominates the Tweed Coast region, this residential tower combines clean lines, rectilinear forms and crisp materials as it emerges as one of the first of its kind in the recently re-zoned high density precinct within the Tweed Shire.

As the architects, we had little choice but to design a product at Florence Street that demonstrated a high level of architectural quality, given that its counterpart at Thomson Street recently gained approval due primarily to architectural merit. Whilst the proposal has sparked quite a lot of interest in the local community, to simply produce a stock-standard design would have fallen short in this instance.
